Highchair

(70 words)

She sets a plate of his favourite foods on his highchair.

She smiles lovingly throughout dinner.

She chatters at him, laughs with her husband.

Afterwards, her husband settles her gently into bed, then cleans up.

He kisses her cheek.

He prays to their departed son, and slowly counts out his elderly wife’s morning medicine.
